Electrolytic zinc plating

One method of surface finishing for components and products made of ferrous materials is zinc plating. A thin layer is applied to the surface without affecting dimensional stability, resulting in a smooth, shiny metallic surface. Zinc plating gives products an excellent aesthetic appearance while also making them corrosion resistant. During the process, a thin protective layer is created by electrolytic deposition of zinc on the metal substrate.
